Date: November 5 & 6, 2022
Place: Athens, Greece
After
a 2 year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kick Off Association
returned to action with the 20th Kick Off 2 World Cup. It was held in
Athens, Greece for the third time and featured 32 players from 7
countries. Gianni Torchio returned to his throne 8 years after
Copenhagen to win his 5th title, and the top scorer trophy. The
finalist was Lorenzo Lozito, who became the 6th Italian to win a medal
while no other country has more than four, and also brought home the
Exceeding Expectations trophy, a performance which was a great surprise
to anyone but those who actually experienced his progress first hand
during the weekend. Fabio Fichera completed the all-Italian
podium with the bronze.
The
newcomer Gabriele Giacomini won the 2022 Silver Cup and the Best
Defense trophy. The Bronze Cup was conquered by Kostas Kakaletris,
while the KOA honoured Alessandro Verrani with the Lifetime Achievement
Award.

Note: 32 players were divided
into four groups of 8. The top four players from each group
qualified to the World Cup Groups, while the rest would compete in the Silver
Cup.
